JESSICA JONES SEASON 2 AVAILABLE ON NETFLIX TODAY

Mar 08, 2018

Season 2 of Marvel’s Jessica Jones hits Netflix today, three years after the first installment.

The New York City based private investigator, played by Krysten Ritter, is said to be “beginning to put her life back together” after the murder of her Season 1 tormenter, Kilgrave (David Tennant).

Fans are expecting Jones to attempt to find answers about the car accident she survived as a child which killed her family, and the group that paid for her recovery, IGH, that appears to be responsible for her powers.

Ritter’s character is a key member of The Defenders, another Netflix Original series made by Marvel. She earns her membership with a combination of superhuman strength, enhanced speed, and rapid healing.

There has been no confirmation whether season 2 will feature the rest of the Defenders (Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Iron Fist) with any significance.

Ritter returns alongside Rachael Taylor (playing Trish Walker), Carrie-Anne Moss (playing Jeri Hogarth), and Eka Darville (playing Malcolm Ducasse). Leah Gibson and J.R. Ramirez are joining the cast as Ingrid and Oscar and Tennant’s Kilgrave is expected to make a return.

The release was designed to coincide with International Women’s Day as all episodes are directed by women.
